Ariel Jupiter, PTA

With 6 years of experience under her belt, Ariel joined Brown Rogers Physical Therapy in March of 2023 with a great enthusiasm for outpatient aquatic therapy!

After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in 2014 and then a Physical Therapy Assistant degree in 2017, Ariel worked in a variety of settings but wanted to get back to aquatic therapy. As a high school student and again in a clinical rotation she was exposed to this version of outpatient therapy and thought it could be part of her future.

“I love when patients who have a hard time on land, especially ones that use a gait aid like a cane or walker, are amazed when they get in the pool. They are coming from a place of discouragement, have a fear of falling, and also don’t know if they will ever walk “normal” again. The unweighting of their body and the security of the water allow them to have a real workout!”

What are your favorite pastimes?

“I enjoy spending time with family, especially my husband and 2-year-old daughter, and traveling.”

Where was your most recent trip?

“My husband and I took a trip to Bali, Indonesia with friends. It was overdue, originally set for 2020 and canceled of course! I absolutely loved the beautiful waterfalls!”

Where did you grow up and how did that shape you?

“I grew up in Saint Charles Parish, in a small country town where everyone knows everyone. It was a happy and secure place to be for my first 18 years!”

Interesting Fact:

While cheering in high school Ariel tore her hamstring, which required physical therapy. This is when she first learned she wanted to do something in healthcare one day!
