Some journeys come full circle. After previously being part of the Brown Rogers Physical Therapy & Wellness family, Kristen Roth, PTA has returned to continue serving patients with the same compassionate, hands-on care that made her such a valued member of our team.

With more than 25 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, Kristen has worked in nearly every physical therapy setting imaginable—including outpatient orthopedics, aquatic therapy, inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and home health. The only setting she hasn't experienced is the school system!

Most recently, Kristen cared for patients in the home health setting, helping individuals regain mobility, confidence, and independence in the place they call home. Returning to Brown Rogers PT allows her to combine that wealth of experience with the energy of outpatient therapy, where she enjoys helping patients progress, achieving goals and independence.

“After working in Home Health, I can really sense the funcational challenges my patients may be experienceing with activities of daily living, work, and hobbies. The experience of being in someone’s home adds depth to my understaninding and motivates me to get patients back to their daily lives!”

A Career Built on Experience

Kristen previously helped develop and grow Brown Rogers' Aquatic Therapy Program, giving countless patients another pathway to recovery. She is also AiChi trained, adding another specialized treatment approach to her extensive clinical experience.

After working with patients across nearly every stage of rehabilitation, one thing has remained constant:

"Every patient deserves to feel heard, encouraged, and capable of getting better. I love helping people realize they're stronger than they think they are."

A Positive Presence

One thing you'll notice almost immediately about Kristen is her laugh.

It's genuine, contagious, and impossible to miss. Whether she's celebrating a patient's progress, encouraging a coworker, or simply enjoying the day, Kristen's laughter and positive outlook bring an uplifting energy to the gym.

Patients quickly discover that therapy can be challenging while still being enjoyable—and Kristen clearly believes a little laughter often helps the healing process.

Outside the Clinic

Kristen enjoys staying active in ways that keep both her hands and her mind busy. An avid gardener, she's just as likely to spend a Saturday tending to her plants as she is tackling her latest home improvement project. Most recently, she's been refinishing her kitchen cabinets and finding creative ways to update her home.

Family remains one of Kristen's greatest joys. With two married children and her youngest currently in nursing school, she loves finding excuses to get everyone together.

One of her favorite Mother's Day gifts?

A ping pong table.

"It's a great way to get my adult children to come over and talk to me!" she laughs.

Whether she's hiking the mountains of North Carolina, working in the garden, renovating another corner of the house, or enjoying a competitive game of ping pong with family, Kristen believes life is meant to keep you moving.

Fun Fact

Kristen's hiking partner is her dog, Pig—a scrappy Bulldog/Pit Bull mix with a big personality and endless enthusiasm for the next adventure.
