Marieke Crawford, PT, MOMT

Marieke is the lead therapist at the Airline orthopedic location of Brown Rogers Physical Therapy and also sees a steady and loyal clientele in the wellness model. She is a native of the Netherlands where she attended Hogeschool Enschede, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy in 1991.  She has worked as a PT in the United States since March of 1992, and went on to attain a Masters Degree of Orthopedic Manual Therapy in 1997.  Beyond too many courses to list here, Marieke has worked as a clinical instructor at  the Ola Grimbsy Institute teaching clinical certification courses.

Kindness and confidence exude from Marieke!  She is a classically trained manual therapist and understands the effects of pain on mobility and function. There are not many therapists in this city that could match her accomplished skill level.

Marieke loves to travel home to the Netherlands once a year for a week or two, specifically to her hometown in Overijssel, a province located in the eastern part of the country, near Germany. When asked what is different about growing up there she replied,

“I grew up riding my bike everywhere, including to school, we all did. Even though you can get a driver’s license at 18, very few people do because it is expensive! The buses and trains are so efficient that most people do not own cars.” She also mentioned, “Flowers…they are everywhere and considered an everyday gesture for any occasion. You can get a beautiful bouquet for $5.”

Fun Fact: Marieke is a RaquetFit Certified Expert and a level 4.5 tennis player! She has three children and says yes to anything fun outdoors or with music venues!
